Lake Eaton truly is in the middle of a stunning outdoors paradise. Round Lake Outlet is a great whitewater spot next to Lake Eaton, and Woodlake Inn is a perfect place to get some rest. Lake Eaton is located in the Adirondack Mountains. You're in all probability into lakes, Shaw Pond is one of those close by, and of course South Pond Outlet flows through this region. This lake is so wonderful.       Hiking along the Sucker Brook Trail is good fun, and a good spot to camp here at Lake Eaton is Hoss's Country Campground. A tremendous place for whitewater paddling near Lake Eaton is Raquette River, and perhaps you're looking for nearby lakes? Sure, Mosquito Pond is just a very short distance away. Summer brings highs in the 70's to Lake Eaton. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 50's. During the winter this place gets                  highs in the 20's with temperatures at Lake Eaton dipping down into the 0's during winter nights. All the water falling down from the sky makes Lake Eaton a wet site; during the month of August you get the most rain around here while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Man, is there heaps of entertaining stuff to do in the Adirondack Mountains. Lake Eaton is right by the Northville Lake Placid Trail, and camping at Long Lake Camp is always a wonderful experience.
