This lake is so wonderful. Here at Lake Eaton you'll probably meet some people from Plattsburgh, and there's fine hiking along the Schwartz Trail. What a site this is for outdoors people. For you golfers we recommend close by Indole Golf Course, and magnificent hiking is available along the Silver Lake Mountain Trail. The annual rainfall here at Lake Eaton is about average; the month of August is the wettest with most       of the rain, and the driest month of the year is February. These mountains rock, just explore all the cool things to do in the Adirondack Mountains. Get your heart beating on the brilliant whitewater of Black River, and the Weston Trail offers hiking at its best. Dry warm beds await you at Mirror Lake Inn; if you like skiing, you're in luck; Whiteface Mountain is reasonably near. This lake is one of the great places here in the Adirondack Mountains. You                  definitely must adore the Adirondack Mountains. There's so much to do here at Lake Eaton that you need to camp here for a while, High Peaks Base Camp is a good place for that; there's whitewater on Ausable River - West Branch for all you adrenaline kick people. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a spot to stay Courtyard Lake Placid is a tremendous choice. If you came to camp North Pole Campground is a wonderful place to do that, and the peak of Clark Mountain can be distinguished from Lake Eaton. Throughout the long summer days at Lake Eaton highs are frequently in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 50's.
