Lake Eaton is one of the lakes here in the Adirondack Mountains. The annual rainfall here at Lake Eaton is about average; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain, and the driest month is February. Man, is there a heap of amusing stuff to do in the Adirondack Mountains. On a nice day at Lake Eaton you can take a hike along the Silver Lake Mountain Trail; if you need a place to stay       Mirror Lake Inn is a pleasant choice. There is a nice hiking trail in the vicinity of Lake Eaton called the Weston Trail, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Ausable River - West Branch. There are some nice whitewater spots on Black River. This lake is so wonderful. A round of golf at nearby Indole Golf Course is a perfect way to kill some time; Courtyard Lake Placid is a brilliant place to get some rest. So much cool stuff to do here in the Adirondack                  Mountains, too great to be true. One of the major traits of the surroundings of Lake Eaton is Clark Mountain; if you're stopping by from Plattsburgh, you won't be the only one. This lake is so wonderful. The Schwartz Trail is a good hiking trail in the vicinity of Lake Eaton, and do stop by Fern Lake, it's a charming lake. Camping at High Peaks Base Camp is always a delightful experience; you'll find a delightful lake called Black Brook Pond. High temperatures at Lake Eaton through the warm days of summer are in the 70's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. For the duration of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 20's with temperatures at Lake Eaton dipping down into the 0's through winter nights. Yep, outdoors enjoyable things to do are in fact bountiful here at Lake Eaton.
