Man, is there loads of amusing things to do in the Adirondack Mountains. Camping at East Pond is nice fun, Cape Woods Campground is a nice local campground, and hiking along the Big Deer Pond Trail is nice fun. So many fun things to do here in the Adirondack Mountains, too good to be true. A lake nearby is Big Moose Lake, and there are plenty of folks from Ogdensburg-Massena here at East Pond. Be careful coming to East Pond,       you might not ever want to return home again. Moose River - South Branch has a fine whitewater paddling spot nearby, and the best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby McCauley Mountain. If you want to stop at some out of the ordinary stuff, stop at Browns Rock, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Norridge Trail. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a site to stay Mountainside Lodge is a good choice; Browns Tract Pond State Campground                  is a delightful campground here. This lake is one of the great places here in the Adirondack Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. North Woods Inn is a good place to get some rest, and don't forget to explore North Bay since you're here. Whitewater paddling is tremendous on Oswegatchie River - East Branch; East Pond is right by the Salmon Lake Trail. High temperatures at East Pond through the summertime are in the 70's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 50's. All through the wintertime highs are mostly in the 20's; through the dark hours in the winter at East Pond temperatures dip to the 0's.
