Why not stop by East Pond if you're passing through these parts. This lake is so wonderful. From East Pond you obtain a great view of Burnt Mountain, and going for a hike on the Salmon Lake Trail is always a great adventure. This spot is great, just look at all the fun things to do near East Pond. The Adirondack Mountains scenery is always beautiful. Summertime highs at East Pond regularly tend to be in the 70's. Summer nighttime lows dip down to the 50's. This lake is so wonderful. East Bay is not far from East Pond at all, and a wonderful place to camp here at East Pond is Singing waters Campground. Yep, outdoors enjoyable things
truly is plentiful here in the Adirondack Mountains. There is a splendid hiking trail near East Pond called the Norridge Trail, and swing by Limekiln Creek it's a fine location to check out. There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing
at nearby McCauley Mountain; after a long day outdoors Big Rock Cottages is a glorious location to spend a night or two.
Near East Pond you stumble on the Twin Lakes Trail which is a delightful hiking trail, and while you're here,
you could also visit beautiful Dwight Pond. All the water falling down from the sky makes East Pond a wet spot; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain, and the driest month is February. If you want a brilliant
time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Adirondack Mountains. East Pond is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, Cape Woods Campground is a wonderful local campground, and you can run the rapids of Black River - South Branch.
