You can never get enough of the nice skiing at McCauley Mountain, and there is a perfect hiking trail close by called the Norridge Trail. Near East Pond you locate the Twin Lakes Trail which is a pleasant hiking trail, and you are near East Bay while you're here. East Pond is one of the lakes here in the Adirondack Mountains. And that's not all the things you can do here in the Adirondack Mountains. You       could also pop by Dwight Pond if you're here at East Pond; it's nearby; if you need a place to stay Knights Inn Little Falls is a splendid choice. Limekiln Falls is always fun to check out. You'll need more than a day to explore everything East Pond has to offer, you can camp at Nicks Lake Campgrounds. But wait, there's more to do near East Pond. There are some good whitewater spots on Black River - South Branch, and some of the water close by flows, like Limekiln Creek.                  This lake is so wonderful. Stay the night at OLD Forge Camping Resort; if you've had enough of East Pond, Mountain Pond is nearby. Summertime highs at East Pond typically tend to be in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 50's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 20's while East Pond overnight low temperatures all through the wintertime are in the 0's. Just can't get enough of East Pond. Why not spend some time golfing at a close by golf course like Thendara Golf Club, and going for a hike on the Salmon Lake Trail is always a nice adventure. All the water falling down from the sky makes East Pond a wet site; the month with most of the rain is August, and the driest month of the year is February. This lake is so wonderful.
