You'll hit upon a picturesque lake called Otter Pond near East Pond, and East Pond is good enough to spend more than a day at, Camp Cherokee is a good local campground. All through the warm days of summer here at East Pond, high temperatures regularly reach the 70's with overnight lows in the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's, and night lows through the wintertime       for East Pond tend to be in the 0's. You can observe East Pond Mountain from East Pond, and if you don't mind getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Meacham Lake Outlet. This lake is so wonderful. Here at East Pond there are plenty of people from Malone, and St. Regis River - Middle Branch is a great whitewater spot close by. So much exciting stuff to do here at East Pond, too good to be true. A good site to camp here at East Pond is Blue                  Jay Campsites. This lake is one of the great places here in the Adirondack Mountains. Lakes are such calm sites, why not visit Ledge Pond near East Pond; Woodlake Inn is a brilliant place to get some rest.
