Sure, Pink Pond is close at hand, and what would winter be without some skiing at Mount Pisgah. This is no spot for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves. Stay the night at Blue Jay Campsites, and not far from East Pine Pond you'll hit upon Rock Pond which is a pretty lake. At East Pine Pond through the long summer days highs are in the 70's. For the duration       of the moonlight hours it's generally in the 50's. All through the winter this place gets highs in the 20's with temperatures at East Pine Pond dipping down into the 0's through winter nights. These mountains rock, just look at all the exciting stuff to do in the Adirondack Mountains. Get your heart beating on the tremendous whitewater of Meacham Lake Outlet, and a glorious nearby hotel is THE HOTEL SARANAC. There's whitewater on St. Regis River - Middle Branch                  for all you adrenaline people, and the good people of Malone like to hang out nearby. You absolutely ought to go for the Adirondack Mountains. The annual precipitation here at East Pine Pond is about average; most of the rain falls through August, and January is when it's the driest.
