In New York there are many beautiful lakes, East Lake is one of them. And that's not all you can do here at East Lake. You get a great vista of Cobble Hill from East Lake, and if you come at the right time of year, Ausable River - West Branch offers some magnificent whitewater. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at East Lake is good fun, Adirondak Loj is a good local campground, and Mirror Lake Inn is a glorious site to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. There's wonderful hiking along the Schwartz Trail, and probably you're looking for nearby lakes? Sure, Echo Lake is just a very short distance away. An average
amount of precipitation falls at East Lake; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain, and the driest month is February. Whispering Pines Campground is a good campground here, and taking a little spree to nearby
Barrel Bay is a tremendous idea.
After a long day outdoors Boat House On Mirror Lake is a good place to spend a night or two, and the friendly people of Plattsburgh like to hang out close by. Falls Brook is right next door to
East Lake and is always a diversion to stop at; hiking is a popular thing to do around East Lake; McKenzie Pond Trail is a good local trail. All through the summertime months at East Lake highs are frequently in the 70's; through
summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's while East Lake night low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 0's.
