Campsite is a nice campground nearby, and there's some flowing water close by, Frie Flow is a stream you can stop at while here. And if that's not enough there's plenty more cool things to do in the Adirondack Mountains. East Caroga Lake is not far at all from Amsterdam, and whitewater paddling is brilliant on Holmes

If you're here at East Caroga Lake and you like golf, you can visit Nick Stoner Municipal Golf Course, and get covered with water paddling on Caroga Creek. During the warm days of summer at East Caroga Lake highs are commonly in the 80's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 50's. | |

Clear waters, with many rocks and small cliffs to jump off, along with a rope swing! Its a heavily used area, made apparent by the large amount of garbage left around during the busy months, but all in all a good lake and definatley worth the short hike.... |
