What a spot this is for outdoors folks. Central Hotel is a great site to get some rest; you'll meet a lot of people from Amsterdam here. There's some flowing water nearby, Crum Creek is a stream you can pop by while you're here, and Spruce Creek is a wonderful whitewater spot close by. For the duration of the summer, highs regularly are in the 80's at East Canada Lake with overnight lows in the 60's. The winter comes       with highs in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to East Canada Lake. This lake is so wonderful. East Canada Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Crystal Grove Diamond Mine and Campground is a great local campground, and close by you hit upon the California Trail which is a good hiking trail. After a long day outdoors HMS Host is a splendid spot to spend a night or two, and at East Canada Lake you can see Failing Hill.                  Camping at Cooperstown Shadow Brook Campground is always a glorious experience; you can run the rapids of East Canada Creek.
