    If you are traveling by, why not stop by Dyken Pond. After a long day outdoors Sedgwick Inn is a brilliant location to spend a night or two, and don't leave Dyken Pond without first going for a hike along the Williams Trail. Now, you may assume that's a heap but there's even more entertaining stuff to do here at Dyken Pond. A day on the slopes of Jiminy Peak is just what you need, and a tremendous location to camp here at Dyken Pond is Broken Wheel Campground.  
   This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at Aqua Vista Valley Campgrounds, and Dyken Pond is not far at all from Pittsfield.
Summer brings highs in the 80's to Dyken Pond. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 60's. Throughout the winter this place gets highs in the 30's while Dyken Pond overnight low temperatures during the winter are in the 10's. Dyken Pond is a good place of normal rain; the month of July is the
 
               wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month of the year is February. If you need a location to stay Bennington Battlefield Motel is a magnificent choice; if you like skiing, you're in luck; Mount Greylock Ski Club is quite near.
This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Taconic Crest Trail, obviously you could also go to Cranberry Pond since you're here; it's not far at all. If you come at the right time of year, Poesten Kill River offers some great whitewater; going for a hike on the Southeast Hollow Trail is always a fine adventure.
