     The beauty of Lake Durant attracts many people from all around. The high level of precipitation makes Lake Durant a quite wet location; the month with most of the rain is August, and February is the month with the least moisture. The top of Blue Mountain is easily spotted from Lake Durant, and dry warm beds await you at Woodlake Inn. Lake Durant is one of the lakes here in the Adirondack Mountains.
This lake is so wonderful. There is a magnificent hiking
 
   trail in close proximity to Lake Durant called the Sucker Brook Trail; there's whitewater on Cedar River for all you adrenaline people. All the outdoors fun things in the Adirondack Mountains will keep you coming back persistently. At Lake Durant through the warm days of summer highs are in the 70's while nighttime lows are commonly in the 50's. For the period of the wintertime the highs are usually in the 20's, and nighttime lows all through the wintertime  
               for Lake Durant tend to be in the 0's.
Do check out Minnow Pond near Lake Durant, it's a wonderful lake. There's so much to do here at Lake Durant that you need to camp here for a while, Long Lake Camp is a wonderful site for that. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Adirondack Mountains. On a nice day at Lake Durant you can take a hike along the Northville Lake Placid Trail, and you can stay the night at Hoss's Country Campground. And if you're still looking for more outdoors entertaining things just keep reading. A scenic lake like Stephens Pond near Lake Durant is a good place to check out, and you can run the rapids of Rock River.
