    In New York there are many beautiful lakes, Lake Durant is one of them. Lake Durant is a beautiful lake in the Adirondack Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Lake Durant is good fun, Tioga Point State Campground is a good local campground, and going for a hike along the Northville Lake Placid Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity. This place, the Adirondack Mountains, has so much outdoors exciting stuff. Rock Pond is a  
   nearby lake that you could check out; Rock River has a great whitewater paddling spot close by.
A perfect nearby hotel is Hedges, and while you're here you can take a hike along the Sucker Brook Trail. If you want a magnificent time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Lake Durant. If you need a place to stay Hemlock Hall is a fine choice; why not camp at Whispering woods while you're here at Lake Durant. So much entertaining stuff to do in the Adirondack

Summer at Lake Durant comes with high temperatures in the 70's, and all through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Lake Durant. Lake Durant sees pretty high levels of precipitation; August is the wettest month with most rain; the driest of the months is February. You get a pleasant vista of Blue Mountain from Lake Durant; in case you don’t mind getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Cedar River.
