This lake is so wonderful. Dunning Pond is fine enough to spend more than a day at, Rainbows End is a fine local campground, and do take a hike on the Oregon Trail. Man, is there a heap of enjoyable stuff to do in the Adirondack Mountains. Get your pulse rate up on the pleasant whitewater of Sacandaga River - Middle Branch, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always explore close by Charley Lake. You absolutely have to fancy the Adirondack

| | Mountains. There's whitewater on Sacandaga River for all you adrenaline kick people; unsurprisingly, this is a nice neighborhood for people who like lakes, Gilman Lake is a lake nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Dunning Pond is right by the Hamilton Mountain Fire Tower Trail; a good view of gorgeous Pettit Mountain is available.
