at Ranch Side Park while you're here at Dug Mountain Ponds; there is a good hiking trail nearby called the Hamilton Mountain Fire Tower Trail.
You're sure to run into some friendly folks from Gloversville here, and if you've had
enough of Dug Mountain Ponds, Whitaker Lake is close by. And that's not everything you can do here in the Adirondack Mountains. If you come at the right time of year, Sacandaga River offers some great whitewater, and a quick tour
to McGinn Brook is without doubt a tremendous idea. Just can't get enough of the Adirondack Mountains. A good place to camp here at Dug Mountain Ponds is Hoss's Country Campground, and on a perfect day you can take a hike along the Sucker Brook Trail.
