What a nice lake Duck Pond is. Mohonk Mountain House is a good site to get some rest, and a magnificent location to camp here at Duck Pond is K O A-hudson Valley Campground. The slopes of Hunter Mountain are so inviting nobody can resist; Eagle Cliff is an attention-grabbing site to take a look at while at Duck Pond.
Don't leave Duck Pond without first going for a hike along the Vernooy Falls Trail, and get drenched paddling on Peters Kill River. This lake

a brilliant experience. This lake is so wonderful. There are magnificent spots to explore along the Kanape Jeep Trail, and a golf course nearby is Stone Dock Golf Course. A lot of rain falls at Duck Pond; the month with most of the
rain is May, and the driest month of the year is February.
At Duck Pond all through the summer months highs are in the 70's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 50's. During the wintertime the highs are commonly in the 20's while Duck Pond nighttime low temperatures all through the winter are in the 0's.
