If you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Canisteo River, and if you need a place to stay Wishing Well Residency Motel is a glorious choice. Duck Pond gets a normal amount of yearly rain; through June this area sees the most rain, and January is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. The Root Trail is a brilliant hiking trail in the neighborhood       of Duck Pond, and if you're here you will meet lots of folks from nearby Corning. During the summer months highs here at Duck Pond reach the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 50's. Highs throughout the wintertime are usually in the 30's, and overnight lows in the 10's for Duck Pond. And that's not all you can do here at Duck Pond. If you came to camp Babcock Hollow Campground is a great place to do that, and close by you discover                  the Niles Trail which is a good hiking trail. There's so much to do here at Duck Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Cardinal Campsite is a pleasant location for that, and on a delightful day you can take a hike along the Roe Trail.
