If you are in this part of New York make sure to pay a visit to Duck Pond. Go for a hike on the Northrop Trail, and there are plenty of people from Torrington here at Duck Pond. At Duck Pond you can make out Mount Algo; Chapel Pond is a nearby lake that you could stop at. This lake is so wonderful. Paddling on Ten Mile River is so much fun, and don't leave Duck Pond without first going for a hike along the Indian Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Mohawk

the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 30's, and night lows in the 10's for Duck Pond. From a rain point of view Duck Pond is a pretty common site; during the month of June you get the most rain around here while January is mostly the driest month.
