The yearly precipitation here at Duck Hole is about average; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain, and February meanwhile is the driest month. No way I can stop, cause I'm havin' a brilliant time here at Duck Hole. The slopes of Whiteface Mountain are so inviting nobody can resist, and going for a hike on the McKenzie Pond Trail is always a glorious adventure. Duck Hole is located in the Adirondack Mountains. | | warmest time of the year at Duck Hole temperatures are frequently in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 20's with temperatures at Duck Hole dipping down into the 0's through winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. of enjoyable stuff to do in the Adirondack Mountains. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Cold River, and if you've had enough of Duck Hole, Lower Pond is close by. You just must go for the Adirondack Mountains. Moose Creek flows
through this neighborhood, and there is a fine hiking trail nearby called the Indian Pass Trail. Mount Pisgah is a pleasant local ski area, and most likely you're looking for close by lakes? Sure, Preston Ponds is just a very short
distance away. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Duck Hole has to offer, you can camp at Cedar Pond Campground, and there are some great whitewater spots on Ausable River - West Branch. This lake is so wonderful. Stay the night at Pioneer Village; there are splendid places to explore along the Van Hoevenberg Trail.
