     Stay the night at Camp Echo Lake, and you acquire a perfect vista of Bald Mountain from here. There are plenty of people from Poughkeepsie-Newburgh-Middletown here at Dream Lake, and for you golfers we recommend nearby Trump National Golf Club. Croton Dam is a pretty site in close proximity to Dream Lake, and if you need a place to stay Edith Macy Conference Center is a great choice. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Moodna Creek, and you can go for a hike on  
   the Appalachian National Scenic Trail.
So many amusing things to do here at Dream Lake, too magnificent to be true. Really delightful skiing awaits you at Thunder Ridge. Dream Lake is a relatively wet place frequently with much rainfall; the wettest month of the year is usually May, that's the one that rains the most while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation. If you have a thing about the outdoors, you'll love Dream Lake. Lakes? Sure,
 
               Shadow Lake is in the neighborhood, and a brilliant nearby hotel is Comfort Inn & Suites.
This lake is so wonderful. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop by nearby Journeys End Lake, and don't leave Dream Lake without first going for a hike along the Stillwell Lake Trail. Through the summertime at Dream Lake highs are typically in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's while Dream Lake night low temperatures throughout the winter are in the 10's. Get soaked paddling on Popolopen Creek, and why not check out close by Bailey Brook if you're here at Dream Lake.
This lake is so wonderful. Camp Discovery is a wonderful campground nearby, and good hiking is available along the Suffern-Bear Mountain Trail.

Do you have any pictures of camp henry?  My father went there in the 1920's.  The land was sold a while ago and now has a housing development on it....Lillian Wald had a camp on secor lake .Camp Henry.i am fortune enough to have been born on the block where Lillian started the henry street settlement. I am a 49yr who spent 10 summers of my life on lake secor 67-76..Actually I live in the settlement for 3 1/2 yrs. Amazing!...

...ved in the three story pink house on chestnut ridge rd.back in the late sixties ,and every Christmas the people of the surrounding lk. There were none on the east side of the lake at the time. Well we would collect our Christmas trees around fifty or so and dig them into the ice about forty ft apart and make two rows . Then we would all set a time and light em,, and we would skate , fish ,whatever the lines of trees ran from the n.west dock to the east..the clam bakes were held at the other lk..haven just up the stream that ran along my house..After the dam broke from lk haven the water flooded down into our house..What a flood..seems after that we sold the house to a fireman ,,and then our course by accident the house burnt down ,,and I thought fireman were supposed to put out fires not start em .hello to all that still prevail on chestnut ridge. yea I also went to school with Henry Winkler.. And back then we used to trick or treat all the way down to route six..camp sycamore well I still have my green card with the red paper wonder if its still good..the camp was but a lake with a ...
