This lake is one of the great places here in the Adirondack Mountains. During the warm days of summer here at Drain Pond, high temperatures usually reach the 70's while night lows are frequently in the 50's. Through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 20's, and nighttime lows in the 0's for Drain Pond. Be careful coming to the Adirondack Mountains, you might not ever wanna go back home again. Gotta ski! Mount Pisgah is a magnificent location to do that.

| | This lake is so wonderful. Why not camp at Legton if you're here at Drain Pond; Drain Pond is a place with many visitors from Malone. Looking for something in the neighborhood of Drain Pond? Indian Lake is in the vicinity; everybody nearby loves skiing at Titus Mountain. That right there is plenty already, but it carries on; Drain Pond has it all. Camping is available at Deer River Campsites, and Econo Lodge Malone is a tremendous location to get some rest. | |

Drain Pond gets lots of water; the month with most of the rain is August, and February is the month with the least moisture. Yeah, come up here to the Adirondack Mountains for a pleasant time. The top of Little Orebed Hill is easily
seen from Drain Pond; Salmon River has a tremendous whitewater paddling spot nearby. If you need a place to stay Super 8 Malone is a great choice, and Drain Pond is not the only spot close by, Papoose Lake is a close by lake.
