A lake close by is Christie Reservoir, and time spent at Haviland Cove Beach is always nice. That right there is a load already, but it continues; Dority Reservoir has it all. Here at Dority Reservoir you'll most likely meet some folks from Glens Falls, and golf can be played at Tee-Bird Country Club. Head up to West Mountain and strap some skis to your feet. Throughout the warm days of summer at Dority Reservoir       highs are commonly in the 70's; through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Dority Reservoir. Dority Reservoir is a relatively wet place regularly with a good deal of precipitation; November is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month is February. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you                  then we recommend Hudson River; the snow is glorious at Willard Mountain. If you need a place to stay Tin Fox Inn is a nice choice, and you can stay the night at Moreau Lake State Park.
