Camping at Nicks Lake Campgrounds is always a brilliant experience, and Lyons Marsh is a swamp close to Doe Pond. Man, is there plenty of entertaining stuff to do in the neighborhood of Doe Pond. If you're here at Doe Pond and you like golf, you can pop by Thendara Golf Club, and great hiking is available along the Norridge Trail. Life's too short to enjoy all the cool stuff in the Adirondack       Mountains. Doe Pond is good enough to spend more than a day at, OLD Forge Camping Resort is a good local campground, and you can run the rapids of Moose River - South Branch. Doe Pond gets a lot of water; during the month of August you get the most rain around here while February is usually the driest month. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Big Deer Pond Trail, and a lake nearby is Little Independence Pond. This lake is so wonderful. There are plenty                  of folks from Utica-Rome here at Doe Pond. All year is a pleasant time in the Adirondack Mountains if you have a thing about the outdoors. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Doe Pond; Salmon Lake Trail is a pleasant local trail, and Big Diamond Pond is a nearby lake that you could have a look at. Throughout the summer at Doe Pond temperatures are ordinarily in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 20's with temperatures at Doe Pond dipping down into the 0's all through winter nights. This lake is so wonderful.
