Dix Pond is one of the lakes here in the Adirondack Mountains. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors cool things the Adirondack Mountains has to offer. There are nice sites to look at along the East River Trail, and if you come at the right time of year, The Branch offers some pleasant whitewater. Why not take a look at Loon Bay also if you're here, and there are other spots here       than Dix Pond, for example Lower Asuable Lake. Man, is there a load of fun stuff to do in the neighborhood of Dix Pond. Dix Pond is a wonderful location to visit for more than one day, Paradise Pines Camping Resort is a wonderful location to camp nearby, and the peak of Beck-horn can be observed from Dix Pond. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Dix Pond has to offer, you can camp at Shearer's Riverside Campsite, and the best way to spend a                  winter day is on the slopes of close by Whiteface Mountain. An average amount of rainfall falls at Dix Pond; August is when you get the most rain here, and the driest of the months is February. Whohoo, so many enjoyable things in one place! The Adirondack Mountains is peerless! Going for a hike on the Leach Trail is always a pleasant adventure. Lakes? Sure, Elk Lake is nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Near Dix Pond you locate the Dix Trail which is a perfect hiking trail, and a wonderful nearby hotel is Courtyard Lake Placid. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this spot. Jones Beach is next to Dix Pond if you're in a beach type of mood, and a trip to Fairy Ladder Falls will fill your spirit with splendid feelings. At Dix Pond through the summertime highs are in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 20's, and after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Dix Pond descend into the 0's. Getting to Big Sally Brook from Dix Pond is uncomplicated; Elk Pass is absolutely a magnificent place to visit. Having a pleasant time in the Adirondack Mountains is simple. Head up to Gore Mountain and strap some skis to your feet. This lake is so wonderful.
