The winter brings highs down to the 20's while the cold winter nights at Dishrag Pond are in the 0's. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Dishrag Pond has to offer, you can camp at Hoss's Country Campground, and get your heart pumping on the tremendous whitewater       of Raquette River. Dishrag Pond is a wet place that gets a good deal of precipitation; most of the rain falls through August while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. And that's not everything there is to do here in the Adirondack Mountains. Going for a hike along the Hamilton Mountain Fire Tower Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area, and Dishrag Pond is not the only location close by, Slim Pond is a close by                  lake. Take a hike on the Sucker Brook Trail; if you get bored of Dishrag Pond you could also visit nearby Wilson Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Dishrag Pond is a good place to visit for more than one day, Tioga Point State Campground is a good place to camp nearby, and you can run the rapids of Cedar River. This lake is one of the great places here in the Adirondack Mountains. Just can't get enough of the Adirondack Mountains. This is a popular spot for folks from Gloversville. If you want a tremendous time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Dishrag Pond.
