The beauty of Dishrag Pond attracts many people from all around. Be careful coming to Dishrag Pond, you might not ever wanna return home again. Cedar River is a glorious whitewater spot in the neighborhood of Dishrag Pond; a tremendous place to camp here at Dishrag Pond is Tioga Point State Campground. Metcalf Mountain is clearly visible from Dishrag Pond, and Potter Pond is a nearby lake that you could stop at. This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available

All through the summer here at Dishrag Pond, high temperatures generally get into the 70's, and the nighttime is quite cooler of course, mostly in the 50's. Highs through the winter are regularly in the 20's while Dishrag Pond night low temperatures throughout the winter are in the 0's. Mountain Fire Tower Trail is a tremendous local trail.
The Adirondack Mountains scenery is always beautiful. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Adirondack Mountains. A perfect close by hotel is Hedges, and a magnificent site
for whitewater paddling is Raquette River. After a long day outdoors Hemlock Hall is a wonderful spot to spend a night or two, and don't leave Dishrag Pond without first going for a hike along the Sucker Brook Trail.
