After a long day outdoors Econo Lodge Lake Placid is a brilliant location to spend a night or two, and from Dipper you get a wonderful view of Nubble. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Dipper has to offer, you can camp at High Peaks Base Camp, and Ausable River - East Branch is a pleasant whitewater spot close by. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this location. A gorgeous       lake like Chapel Pond near Dipper is a brilliant place to go to; a great close by hotel is Courtyard Lake Placid. This lake is so wonderful. Giant Washbowl is a fine lake in the neighborhood of Dipper; you can have a magnificent hiking adventure along the Stimson Trail. Dipper is a beautiful lake in the Adirondack Mountains. For the period of the warm days of summer at Dipper temperatures are ordinarily in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures descend                  down into the 50's. During the winter highs are in the 20's, and overnight lows all through the wintertime for Dipper tend to be in the 0's. So many entertaining things to do here in the Adirondack Mountains, too great to be true. Take a hike on the Weston Trail, and Dipper is a good place to visit for more than one day, Paradise Pines Camping Resort is a good place to camp nearby. This lake is so wonderful. A nice location for whitewater paddling near Dipper is The Branch. Man, is there a heap of cool things to do in the Adirondack Mountains. Going for a hike along the Leach Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region, and why not head up to Whiteface Mountain and strap some skis to your feet.
