Hiking is a popular thing to do around Dexter Lake; Hamilton Mountain Fire Tower Trail is a great local trail, and Holiday Inn JOHNSTOWN-GLOVERSVILLE is a perfect place to get some rest. A nice close by hotel is Rodeway Inn Palatine Bridge; since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always check out nearby Knapps Long Lake. Dexter Lake regularly gets a great deal of       precipitation; all through the month of August you get the most rain around here; February is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. You can catch a sight of Good Luck Mountain from Dexter Lake; at Dexter Lake you always meet someone from Amsterdam. All year is a glorious time in the Adirondack Mountains if you adore the outdoors. Get yourself into a kayak and hit East Canada Creek, and as expected, this is a great neighborhood for                  folks who like lakes, Long Pond is a lake close by. So much fun stuff near Dexter Lake, definitely impressive. Why not take a refreshing hike along the California Trail; Crystal Grove Diamond Mine is a wonderful local campground. During the months of summer highs here at Dexter Lake reach the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 50's.
