tremendous hiking adventure along the Salmon Lake Trail, and Desert Pond is a place with many visitors from Ogdensburg-Massena. The amount of precipitation that falls at Desert Pond is close to the national average; throughout August
this area sees the most rain, and February is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. If you get bored of Desert Pond, you could also stop at close by Little Mudhole; some nearby water includes Compos Creek.
