The beauty of Depression Pond is reason enough to stop by. This lake is so wonderful. Skiing at Mohawk Mountain is one of those things you just should do; you can distinguish East Mountain from Depression Pond. All the outdoors fun things in the vicinity of Depression Pond will keep you coming back repeatedly. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Thunder Ridge while you're here; camping is available at Lake Waramaug State Park.

get into the 80's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 50's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Depression Pond.
