Lots of people from Albany-Schenectady-Troy come to Delmar Reservoir, and paddling on Hannacrois Creek is so much fun. There's no way someone can get bored here in the Catskill Mountains. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Delmar Reservoir has to offer, you can camp at Don Knudsen, and here at Delmar Reservoir you can distinguish Diamond Hill. The yearly rainfall here at Delmar Reservoir is about average; of all       the months in a year June is the one with the most rain; February is the month with the least moisture. Just can't get enough of Delmar Reservoir. Western Turnpike Golf Course is a delightful golf course close by; Delmar Reservoir is not the only spot close by, Upper Reservoir Bear Swamp is a close by lake. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Stardust Motor Inn is a great location to spend a night or two, and Hickory Ski Center has splendid                  slopes and a friendly staff. This lake is located in the wonderful Catskill Mountains. So much amusing stuff to do in the Catskill Mountains, not sufficient time. Looking for something close to Delmar Reservoir? Dry warm beds await you at Super 8 Motel - Schenect/Albany Area, and Normans Kill River has a delightful whitewater paddling spot nearby. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Delmar Reservoir. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 60's.
