If you need a place to stay The Lodge at Woodloch is a great choice and if you come at the right time of year Callicoon Creek - North Branch offers some great whitewater. You get a great view from the top of Jensen Hill and dry warm beds await you at Villa Roma Resort Lodges. This lake is so wonderful. There are some excellent whitewater
 
   spots on Callicoon Creek - East Branch and beautiful scenery and great skiing is what you get at Ski Big Bear. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always check out nearby Gould Pond, you're sure to bump into some nice people from Oneonta here. And if that's not enough there's lots more to do around Delaware Lake. What would winter be without some skiing at Mount Tone and camping at Delaware Lake is great fun, Beaver-del Campsites Inc is a great  
               local campground. Getting to Hoolihan Brook from Delaware Lake is a piece of cake and if you came for an overnight stay Terry's Shinhopple Campground is a good place to camp. This lake is so wonderful. A trip to Delaware National Scenic River is worthwhile.

Delaware Lake is a quite wet place with plenty of precipitation, the wettest month of the year is May, that's the one that rains the most, February meanwhile is the driest month. In the summertime highs here at Delaware Lake get into the 80's with night time lows in the 50's. Daytime highs in the winter are in the 30's, overnight lows in winter for Delaware Lake tend to be in the 10's.
