On a pleasant day at Deer Pond you can take a hike along the Sixmile Creek Trail, and Raquette River is a great whitewater spot nearby. This lake is one of the great places here in the Adirondack Mountains. For the duration of the months of summer here at Deer Pond,       high temperatures commonly get into the 70's.
