Yep, outdoors fun things truly is bountiful here in the Adirondack Mountains. Stillwater Motel is a splendid site to get some rest, and hiking along the Norridge Trail is great fun. This is no spot for people who don’t like to have fun. Float down the rapids of Oswegatchie River - Middle Branch in a kayak, and you'll come across a pretty lake called Cropsey Pond. This lake is so wonderful.       Get covered with water paddling on Beaver River; the Salmon Lake Trail offers hiking at its best. This lake is so wonderful. The Adirondack Mountains scenery is always beautiful. For the period of the months of summer here at Deer Pond, high temperatures regularly get into the 70's with overnight lows in the 50's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 20's; after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Deer Pond descend                  into the 0's. Camping is available at Singing waters Campground, and Deer Pond is right by the Post Henderson Trail. If you want a magnificent time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Adirondack Mountains. Why not camp at Cape Woods Campground if you're here at Deer Pond, and a day on the slopes of McCauley Mountain is just what you need. The amount of rainfall that falls at Deer Pond is close to the national average; through the month of August you get the most rain around here; February is when it's the driest.
