Beautiful Deer Pond has much to offer visitors. There are other places here than Deer Pond, for example Second Pond. This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Deer Pond has to offer, you can camp at Adirondak Loj, and after a long day outdoors Courtyard Lake Placid is a delightful site to spend a night or two. | | a hike along the Elk Lake Marcy Trail; Cheney Cobble is easy to spot from Deer Pond. Lakes are such calm places, why not pop by First Pond close to Deer Pond, and the skiing at Whiteface Mountain is wonderful. A day on the slopes of Gore Mountain is just what you need; hiking is a popular thing to do around Deer Pond; Van Hoevenberg Trail is a good local trail. This lake is so wonderful. if you're here, you could stop by LeClaire Brook. Just can't get enough of the Adirondack Mountains. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend John's Brook, and Deer Pond is a great spot to
visit for more than one day, Whispering Pines Campground is a great spot to camp nearby. From a rain point of view Deer Pond is a rather normal place; August is the wettest month with most rain, and February is when it's the driest.
Having a good time at Deer Pond is trouble-free. If you need a place to stay Econo Lodge Lake Placid is a great choice, and there's pleasant hiking along the Dividing Ridge Trail. Throughout the warm days of summer highs here
at Deer Pond reach the 70's with nighttime lows in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's while Deer Pond nighttime low temperatures throughout the winter are in the 0's. Deer Pond is located in the Adirondack Mountains.
