Deer Pond is a beautiful lake in the Adirondack Mountains. All through the summer at Deer Pond highs are typically in the 70's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Highs through the winter are mostly in the 20's, and night lows in the 0's for Deer Pond. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Adirondack Loj is a glorious site to spend a night or       two; there's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Gore Mountain. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Adirondack Mountains. Why not take a look at close by LeClaire Brook since you're here at Deer Pond, and if the weather is perfect, you can go for a hike along the Elk Lake Marcy Trail. A normal amount of precipitation falls here at Deer Pond; through August this area sees the most rain; February is when it's the driest. Nearby lakes? All the outdoors amusing stuff in the Adirondack Mountains will keep you coming back time and again. On a great day at Deer Pond you can take a hike along the Dividing Ridge Trail. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Deer Pond has to offer, you can camp at Adirondak Loj. This lake is so wonderful. The top of Cheney Cobble is easily seen from Deer Pond, and Boreas River - Upper has a pleasant whitewater paddling spot close by. Stay the night at Whispering Pines Campground, and the Van Hoevenberg Trail is a splendid hiking trail close by. You imagine that's enough? Just getting warmed up.
