Hiking along the Northville Lake Placid Trail is wonderful fun, and a glorious nearby hotel is Mountain View Farm Long Lake. Having a good time in the Adirondack Mountains is trouble-free. In the event that you don't mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Rock River, and the summit of Catlin Mountain can be distinguished from       Deer Pond. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Corner Motel is a great choice. But wait, there's more fun stuff to do in the Adirondack Mountains. Have a brilliant hiking adventure along the Indian Pass Trail, and if you came for an overnight stay Whispering woods is a great location to camp. While you're here at Deer Pond you can take a hike along the McKenzie Pond Trail, and unsurprisingly Wolf Pond Outlet is a picturesque stream that                  is worth visiting. Deer Pond is one of the lakes here in the Adirondack Mountains. Summer at Deer Pond comes with high temperatures in the 70's, and the night is fairly cooler of course, typically in the 50's. For the duration of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 20's, and after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Deer Pond fall into the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. A magnificent location for whitewater paddling right next door to Deer Pond is Cold River, and fine skiing awaits you at Mount Pisgah. Donaldson George A and Sons is a great campground here, and if you've had enough of Deer Pond, Catlin Lake is close by.
