Deer Lake is a nice lake to visit. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors amusing stuff the area near Deer Lake has to offer. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend West Canada Creek - South Branch; needless to say Hurrell Brook flows through this area. This lake is so wonderful. There is a magnificent hiking trail right next door to Deer Lake called the California Trail, and if you need a site to stay Americas

| | Best Inns-Herkimer is a great choice. Go for a hike on the Twin Lakes Trail, and if you came to camp Adirondack Gateway Campground is a pleasant site to do that.
Mosquito Hill can be seen from Deer Lake, and Mounts Creek Lake is a good lake close by. All through the months of summer here at Deer Lake, high temperatures commonly get into the 70's, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. in the 20's while Deer Lake overnight low temperatures through the winter are in the 0's. Deer Lake usually gets lots of rain; the wettest month of the year is commonly August, that's the one that rains the most; the driest of the
months is February.
A pretty lake like Cranberry Lake next to Deer Lake is a wonderful location to take a look at. This lake is so wonderful. Deer Lake is good enough to spend more than a day at, Ace Of Diamonds Mine is a good
local campground; after a long day outdoors Knights Inn Little Falls is a great place to spend a night or two. Life's too short to enjoy all the entertaining stuff in the Adirondack Mountains. Going for a hike on the Party Trail is
always a great adventure, and locations like New Holland Clearing are good to pop by.
So much entertaining stuff in the Adirondack Mountains, just phenomenal. Get your heart pumping on the great whitewater of West Canada Creek,
and if you like swamps you're in luck, Richards Vly is right nearby. This lake is one of the great places here in the Adirondack Mountains.
