Beautiful Dead Lake has much to offer visitors. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Dead Lake. Summer night lows plunge down to the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's while Dead Lake nighttime low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 0's. Be careful coming to Dead Lake, you might not ever want to return home again. If you come at the right time of year, Battenkill River offers some good whitewater, and there's fine hiking along the Bald Mountain Trail. Motel is a tremendous location to spend a night or two, and on a pretty day you acquire a great vista of Mount Colfax from Dead Lake.
This lake is so wonderful. Town House Motor Inn is a magnificent place to get some rest; what
would winter be without some skiing at West Mountain. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are tremendous; Clark Pond is a lake that's in close proximity to Dead Lake; you'll meet a lot of folks from Bennington here.
Good hiking is
available along the Healing Springs Nature Trail, and a pleasant place to camp here at Dead Lake is Lake Lauderdale Campgrounds.
