So many entertaining things to do at Dead Lake, so little time. If you need a location to stay Best Western New Englander Motor Inn is a great choice, and paddling on Battenkill River is so much fun. On a good day at Dead Lake you can take a hike along the Healing Springs Nature Trail, and you're almost certainly keen on lakes, Lake Lauderdale is one of those nearby. This lake is so       wonderful. Battenkill Sportsquarters Camping is a brilliant campground nearby; the best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Willard Mountain. On a wonderful day you acquire a sight of Mount Colfax from Dead Lake, and probably you're looking for close by lakes? Sure, Schoolhouse Lake is just a very short distance away. This lake is so wonderful. The snow is nice at West Mountain, and whitewater paddling is great on Batten Kill River.                  For the duration of the warmest time of the year highs here at Dead Lake reach the 80's, and all through the night it cools down to the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 20's with temperatures at Dead Lake dipping down into the 0's during winter nights. The Bald Mountain Trail is a nice hiking trail in close proximity to Dead Lake, and if you're popping by from Bennington, you won't be the only one. Dry warm beds await you at Alexandra B and B. Lake Lauderdale Campgrounds is a good local campground, and there is a pleasant hiking trail close by called the West Ridge Trail.
