If the weather is pleasant here at DeWitt Lake, you can go for a hike along the Phoenicia Trail, and from DeWitt Lake you get a great vista of Fly Mountain. Just can't get enough of DeWitt Lake. Holiday Inn Kingston,Ny is a brilliant location to get some rest. A great site for whitewater paddling close to DeWitt Lake is Rondout Creek, and going for a hike along the Willow Trail will let you absorb       the natural beauty of this area. Summertime highs at DeWitt Lake mostly tend to be in the 70's with overnight lows in the 50's. Throughout the wintertime the highs are regularly in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at DeWitt Lake. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at DeWitt Lake you can take a hike along the Kanape Jeep Trail, and if you came for an overnight stay Ulster County Four-h Camp is a delightful place to camp. In the                  event that you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Saw Kill River, and Hunter Mountain is a very popular ski area around here. This lake is so wonderful. A lake close by is Binnewater Lakes, and during your spree here you'll meet some people from Kingston for sure. You could also visit First Lake since you're here at DeWitt Lake; it's close by, and you could always look at Wallkill Valley. But wait, there's more to do near DeWitt Lake. After a long day outdoors Super 8 Motel - Kingston is a brilliant spot to spend a night or two, and why not take a little journey to Wallkill River since you're here. DeWitt Lake regularly gets much rain; November is the wettest month with most rain, and February on the other hand is the driest.
