All year is a perfect time in the Adirondack Mountains if you love the outdoors. Dry warm beds await you at THE HOTEL SARANAC, and do pop by Rock Pond, it's a gorgeous lake. So much fun stuff to do here in the Adirondack Mountains, too magnificent to be true. A short tour to Lower Falls is always worthwhile, and do pop by Palmer Brook if you're here at Dawson Pond. A typical amount of rainfall falls       here at Dawson Pond; August is the wettest month with most rain; February on the other hand is the driest. There's whitewater on Cold River for all you adrenaline junkies, and Blue Jay Campsites is a glorious campground nearby. Summertime brings highs in the 70's to Dawson Pond. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 50's. Throughout the wintertime the highs are regularly in the 20's with temperatures at Dawson Pond dipping down into the                  0's during winter nights. Camp Cherokee is a splendid local campground, and a pretty lake like Brueyer Pond is a magnificent location to stop at. This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the McKenzie Pond Trail. This lake is so wonderful. You can run the rapids of Raquette River near Dawson Pond, and after a long day outdoors Woodlake Inn is a good spot to spend a night or two. So much entertaining stuff near Dawson Pond, completely remarkable.
