Skiing at Whiteface Mountain is one of those things you just ought to do, and there are plenty of folks from Plattsburgh here at Davis Lake. Don't leave Davis Lake without first going for a hike along the Silver Lake Mountain Trail,       and you can stay the night at Macomb Reservation. This lake is so wonderful. You'll stumble on a beautiful lake called Mud Pond near Davis Lake, and get drenched paddling on Ausable River. Davis Lake is located in the Adirondack Mountains.
