From a rainfall point of view Davis Lake is a relatively typical location; August is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month of the year is February. So much fun stuff to do here in the Adirondack Mountains, too fine to be true. Man, is there a heap of exciting stuff to do in the Adirondack Mountains. If you come at the right time of year, Saranac River offers some glorious whitewater,       and the good people of Plattsburgh like to hang out close by. This lake is one of the great places here in the Adirondack Mountains. High temperatures at Davis Lake during the summer months are in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 50's. Throughout the wintertime this place gets highs in the 20's, and night lows in the 0's for Davis Lake. Clinton State Forest is a glorious local forest, and a nice close by hotel is Econo                  Lodge Plattsburgh. If you came to camp Au Sable River Campsite is a great spot to do that; you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Whiteface Mountain since you're here. But wait, there's more to do close to Davis Lake. Hiking along the Silver Lake Mountain Trail is good fun. There's so much to do here at Davis Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Macomb Reservation is a fine place for that. This lake is so wonderful.
