A fine place for whitewater paddling in the neighborhood of Dascher Pond is Callicoon Creek - East Branch, and there are good locations to explore along the Schiff Trail. Life's too short to enjoy all the entertaining things right next door to Dascher Pond. This lake is so wonderful. A day on the slopes of Mount Tone is just what you need, and if you need a location to stay Campbell Inn is a       wonderful choice. Through the summer months highs here at Dascher Pond reach the 80's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 50's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 30's while Dascher Pond night low temperatures during the winter are in the 10's. Red Barn Campgrounds is a magnificent campground here; Villa Roma Resort Lodges is a great place to get some rest. Dascher Pond sees pretty high levels of rain; the wettest                  month of the year is typically May, that's the one that rains the most, and February on the other hand is the driest.
