Good hiking is available along the Appalachian National Scenic Trail, and dry warm beds await you at Econo Lodge Highland Falls. For the duration of the months of summer highs here at Dales Pond get into the 70's, and during the night it cools down to the 60's. During the wintertime the highs are mostly in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Dales Pond. Cat Hill is easy to spot       from Dales Pond, and Foundry Cove is close at hand and always fine to have a look at. The high level of rainfall makes Dales Pond a pretty wet place; May is the wettest month with most rain, and February on the other hand is the driest. Cat Pond is a great lake in the neighborhood of Dales Pond; do visit Foundry Brook if you're here at Dales Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Get soaked paddling on Moodna Creek, and lovely scenery and great skiing is what you                  obtain at Sterling Forest. And if that's not enough, there's lots more to do in the neighborhood of Dales Pond.
