In case you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Saranac River - North Branch, and you can go for a hike on the Schwartz
               Trail.
What would winter be without some skiing at Whiteface Mountain, and THE HOTEL SARANAC is a wonderful place to get some rest. If only every location had this much outdoors entertaining stuff, what a great earth it would be. Going for a hike on the McKenzie Pond Trail is always a pleasant adventure; not far from Daigneau Pond you'll stumble on Carpenter Pond which is a pretty lake. Summertime highs at Daigneau Pond mostly tend to be in the 70's with night lows in the 50's. So much cool stuff in the Adirondack Mountains, just unbelievable. Oregon Brook is a nice place to have a look at; since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always have a look at close by Marsh Pond. Don't leave Daigneau Pond without first going for a hike along the Silver Lake Mountain Trail; if you came for an overnight stay Pioneer Village is a fine location to camp.
