Why not stop by Curtis Lake if you're passing through these parts. This lake is located in the wonderful Adirondack Mountains. A perfect close by hotel is Grant Hotel; you can stay the night at Adirondack Gateway Campground. So many amusing things in the Adirondack Mountains, just incredible. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at McCauley Mountain if you're here.

| | are some fine whitewater spots on West Canada Creek, and after a long day outdoors Americas Best Inns-Herkimer is a great site to spend a night or two. And if that's not enough, there's a load more to do in close proximity to Curtis Lake. Lake, and on a perfect day you can take a hike along the California Trail.
This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Curtis Lake has to offer, you can camp at West Canada Creek Campsites, and
if the weather is great, you can go for a hike along the Forty Mountain Trail. At Curtis Lake during the months of summer highs are in the 70's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 50's. For the period of the winter highs are
in the 20's while Curtis Lake overnight low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 0's. Curtis Lake sees pretty high levels of rain; the wettest month of the year is mostly August, that's the one that rains the most; February on the other hand is the driest.
