All through the summer months highs here at Cummings Pond get into the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 20's, and nighttime lows in the 0's for Cummings Pond. Americas Best Value Inn is a magnificent place to get some rest, and camping at Cummings Pond is nice fun, Birch Haven is a nice local campground. The great folks of Gloversville like to hang out       nearby, and if you need a place to stay Rock Motel is a great choice. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this place. What would winter be without some skiing at Hickory Ski Center, and a round of golf at nearby Galway Golf Course is a perfect way to kill some time. You'll find a pretty lake called Galway Lake near Cummings Pond, and a swamp like Ludlow Swamp right next door to Cummings Pond has lots of out of the ordinary things to see. This lake is so wonderful.                  If you came for an overnight stay Mc Conchie Heritage Acres Camp Grounds is a pleasant spot to camp, and get drenched paddling on Schoharie Creek. This lake is so wonderful. The high level of rain makes Cummings Pond a pretty wet location; June is when you get the most rain here while February is usually the driest month.
