Why not camp at Bomoseen State Park Campground while you're here at Crystal Lake; there are some great whitewater spots on Mettawee River. A pretty lake like Melvin Pond near Crystal Lake is a brilliant place to take a look at, and if you came for an overnight stay Camp Catherine Capers is a perfect spot to camp. This lake is so wonderful. The Bomoseen Hiking Loop offers hiking at its best; there are plenty of people from Rutland here. This is no spot for people

| | who don’t like to enjoy themselves. Take a hike on the Half Moon Pond Trail, and enjoy a round of golf at Lake St Catherine Country Club. All through the summertime at Crystal Lake temperatures are ordinarily in the 80's, and the overnight is a bit chillier of course, regularly in the 50's. of the overriding features of the surroundings of Crystal Lake is Morris Hill. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Poultney River, and Best Western Ticonderoga Inn & Suites is a pleasant
spot to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are such peaceful places, why not explore Hills Pond close to Crystal Lake. Crystal Lake gets a normal amount of rainfall; August is the wettest month with most rain; February meanwhile is the driest month.

Country Village Campgrounds
 | 18 miles away 1 PHOTO Tent Sites, RV Hookups, Pets OK, Fires OK, Store, Nearby Grocery, Pool... - 36 RV hookups... ...door entertaining stuff, what a great planet it would be. A tremendous place like Half Moon Pond State Park is near Country Village Campground and is too wonderful to leave out, and going for a hike on the Falls of Lana Trail is always a perfect adventure. All through the warm days of summer at Country Village Campground highs are mostly in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's with winter lows in the 0's. When the weather is good here at Country Village Campground, you can go for a hike along the Chandler Ridge Trail, and the friendly people of Brandon like to hang out nearby. The Duval Trail is a delightful hiking trail next to Country Village Campground, and a day on Pico Mountain is just what you need.
This campground is a stunning spot to go to. An average amount of precipitation falls at Country Village Campground; most of the rain falls throughout August, and February meanwhile is the driest month. In case you don’t mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Otter Creek, and on a great day... |
Rocky Pond
 | 19 miles away 4 PHOTOS Easy going trail from Mt Tabor to Rocky Pond, a 4 mile round trip, 1 1/2 to 2 hour hike. The hike is well worth seeing this breath taking pond. Very secluded & peaceful with tent sites and one or two shelters. Over night stays are 5.00 per person, per night. If you love 'roughing it' camping, this is a great place to go.
