Throughout the days of summer at Crystal Lake highs are typically in the 70's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 50's. Highs during the wintertime are typically in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Crystal Lake are in the 0's. Robinson's Iga is a tremendous campground nearby; you get a great vista of Francis Hill from here. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this site. A       golf course in the neighborhood of Crystal Lake is Sayles John M Memorial Golf Course; Bassetts Creek is close to Crystal Lake and is always a bliss to stop at. This lake is so wonderful. Do go to Readway Ponds near Crystal Lake, it's a striking lake, and there's whitewater on Oswegatchie River - Middle Branch for all you adrenaline kick people. From a rain point of view Crystal Lake is a reasonably normal site; of all the months in a year August is the one                  with the most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Go for a hike on the Salmon Lake Trail, and a day on the slopes of McCauley Mountain is just what you need. The Adirondack Mountains scenery is always beautiful. If you want a perfect time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Adirondack Mountains. Good hiking is available along the The Loop. Yep, outdoors exciting stuff truly is bountiful here in the Adirondack Mountains.
