If you are in Rensselaer county it's always a good idea to stop by Crystal Lake. Good hiking is available along the Taconic Skyline Trail, and camping at Dingman's Campgrounds is always a great experience. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always have a look at nearby Glass Lake. Crystal Lake is a good place of common rainfall; the month with most of the rain is June, and the driest month of the year is February.

| | The Brickhouse Mountain Trail offers hiking at its best, and why not pop by nearby Horse Heaven Brook since you're here at Crystal Lake. Dry warm beds await you at Americas Best Inns Poughkeepsie, and there's whitewater on Poesten Kill River for all you adrenaline rush seekers. A cool spot to go to near Crystal Lake is Crystal Cliff, and why not head up to Jiminy Peak and strap some skis to your feet.

the Southeast Hollow Trail; Crystal Lake is perfect enough to spend more than a day at, Alps Family Campground is a perfect local campground. So much fun stuff to do at Crystal Lake, so little time. If you're here at Crystal Lake
and you like golf, you can go to Burden Lake Country Club; if you need a location to stay Rodeway Inn Castleton On Hudson is a wonderful choice. A delightful view of pretty Smauder Hill is available from Crystal Lake; during your
trip here you'll meet some people from Hudson for sure.
At Crystal Lake through the warm days of summer highs are in the 80's. Summer night lows dip down to the 60's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's, and overnight lows in the 10's for Crystal Lake.
