Crystal Lake gets a normal amount of rain; November is the wettest month with most rain, and July on the other hand is the driest. There's whitewater on North Sandy Creek for all you adrenaline rush seekers, and lots of people from Watertown-Fort Drum come here. This lake is so wonderful. Gotta ski! Dry Hill is a glorious place to do that; whitewater paddling is not for everyone       but if it's for you then, we recommend Sandy Creek. Crystal Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Willows Campground is a great local campground; if you need a place to stay Ramada Inn is a wonderful choice. There's just no way anyone can get bored here at Crystal Lake. A fine close by hotel is Pulaski Super 8 Motel. Southwich Beach is in close proximity to Crystal Lake and is a beautiful beach to stop by. There's so much to do here at Crystal                  Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Allen's Campground and RV Park is a pleasant place for that. At Crystal Lake throughout the summer highs are in the 70's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's commonly in the 50's.
