A visit to Crystal Lake is always a good idea. The Adirondack Mountains scenery is always beautiful. You'll beyond doubt wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the entertaining stuff in the Adirondack Mountains. Paddling on Cedar River is so much fun, and you need to check out Castle Rock since you're here. This is a glorious neighborhood for people who like lakes. Blue Mountain Lake is a lake close at hand; Crystal Lake is right by the Northville Lake Placid

| | Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Why not stop by close by Beaver Brook while you're here at Crystal Lake; do take a hike on the Sucker Brook Trail. If you have a thing about the outdoors you'll have a thing about it here in the Adirondack Mountains. Don't forget to have a look at Bluff Point if you're here at Crystal Lake; whitewater paddling is great on Raquette River. the most rain here, and February is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. You feel that's enough? Just getting warmed up. Lakes are good; Grassy Pond is a lake that's near Crystal Lake, and camping at Hoss's Country
Campground is always a tremendous experience. Woodlake Inn is a wonderful location to get some rest; camping is available at Long Lake Camp. For the duration of the warmest time of the year, highs mostly are in the 70's at Crystal
Lake. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 50's. Highs through the wintertime are frequently in the 20's, and nighttime lows in the 0's for Crystal Lake.

 | Not sure where Plumley's Point is but I hiked the Northville Lake Placid trail about 4 or 5 miles north from Long Lake village and it was fairly well maintained (just a little overgrowth). At one point the trail runs into a bog/pond and the wooden planks are flooded over.
