     Cross Pond is a nice lake to visit. This lake is so wonderful. McCauley Mountain has wonderful slopes and a friendly staff, and Big Rock Cottages is a good place to get some rest. Cross Pond is one of the lakes here in the Adirondack Mountains. Be careful coming to the Adirondack Mountains, you might not ever want to go back home again. A fine site to take a look at near Cross Pond is Deadmans Gulch, and Cape Woods Campground is a delightful campground here.
 
   Through the long summer days, highs generally are in the 70's at Cross Pond. Summer night lows sink down to the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's, and night lows in the 0's for Cross Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Higley Mountain can be spotted from Cross Pond, and there's whitewater on Moose River - South Branch for all you adrenaline rush seekers.
That right there is heaps of amusing stuff already but it goes on, the Adirondack
 
               Mountains has it all. You're possibly hooked on lakes, Cliff Pond is one of those close by, and you can run the rapids of Black River - South Branch. Hiking along the Twin Lakes Trail is magnificent fun, and a quick trip to Canachagala Brook is absolutely a good idea. Having a good time at Cross Pond is easy. Have a tremendous hiking adventure along the Norridge Trail; you can stay the night at Singing waters Campground.
Cross Pond ordinarily gets a good deal of rainfall; the month with most of the rain is August, and the driest month of the year is February. While you're here at Cross Pond you can take a hike along the Party Trail; after a long day outdoors North Woods Inn is a great place to spend a night or two.
