     Cross Pond is a wet site that gets a great deal of rain; the month with most of the rain is August; February is the month with the least moisture. These mountains rock, just check out all the amusing stuff to do in the Adirondack Mountains. Near Cross Pond you locate the Twin Lakes Trail which is a nice hiking trail, and the vista of Higley Mountain is picturesque.
You might want to pay a visit to Deadmans Gulch since you're here at Cross Pond, and you're
 
   in all probability addicted to lakes, Hall Pond is one of those nearby. This lake is so wonderful. If you like skiing, you're in luck; McCauley Mountain is in close proximity to Cross Pond. Lakes are magnificent; Round Pond is a lake that's near Cross Pond. You definitely should go for the Adirondack Mountains. Visit Canachagala Brook since you're here at Cross Pond, and going for a hike on the Norridge Trail is always a delightful adventure.
Black River -
 
               South Branch is a delightful whitewater spot near Cross Pond, and camping is available at Nicks Lake Campgrounds. This lake is so wonderful. A pleasant site for whitewater paddling near Cross Pond is Moose River - South Branch, and there are glorious places to discover along the Party Trail. This lake is located in the wonderful Adirondack Mountains.
At Cross Pond during the warm months highs are in the 70's while night lows are frequently in the 50's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 20's, and night lows in the 0's for Cross Pond. There's just no way anybody can get bored here at Cross Pond. A good close by hotel is Knights Inn Little Falls, and a brilliant location to camp here at Cross Pond is OLD Forge Camping Resort.
