The beauty of Crane Pond is reason enough to stop by. Crane Pond is located in the Adirondack Mountains. Why not camp at Echo Lake Southwoods while you're here at Crane Pond, of course you could also take a look at Pyramid Lake if you're here; it's not far at all. Crane Pond is not the only spot nearby, Oxshoe Pond is a nearby lake; you acquire a brilliant sight of Antwine Hill from here. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors The Sagamore

| | is a splendid location to spend a night or two, and you can go for a hike on the Long Swing Trail. This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Medcalf Acres Campsite is a tremendous location to camp; in case you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Schroon River. locations, have a look at Desolate Swamp since you're here at Crane Pond. So many amusing things to do here in the Adirondack Mountains, too fine to be true. Good hiking is available along the Short Swing Trail, and The Branch has
a delightful whitewater paddling spot close by. At Crane Pond through the warm days of summer highs are in the 70's, and the overnight is a tad colder of course, commonly in the 50's. Highs during the winter are ordinarily in
the 20's, and night lows at Crane Pond through the winter typically plunge into the 0's. Crane Pond is a good site of normal precipitation; most of the rain falls during August, and February is the month with the least moisture.

Oxshoe Pond
 | What a terrific place to spend the night or even a few days. I went there on my first hike ever, and I am going back this week. It is about a 3-4 hour hike into the trail, but man is it worth it. If you are lucky enough to be the only group there, you will find a lean-2 and fire pit all to yourself. Also, there is a very secluded pond(oxshoe pond) in the same valley, that is just spectacular. A row boat is on hand to use for free for anyone at the site. No cell service with Verizon there, but then again, who needs that? lol again though, an absolutely amazing place to spend a few nights.... |
